About Us

DCU Investment Society is a student-run organisation that aims to bridge the gap between students and the finance industry. Through our edu-classes, workshops, networking sessions and recruitment events, we assist students in enhancing their industry knowledge and ensure our members are inspired, prepared and motivated to apply for internship and graduate opportunities. Membership is accessible to students attending Dublin City University - with all events FREE to attend.

Meet the Committee

Tom Duggan

Chairman

Tom is a final year Business Studies (BBS) student and is Chairman for the 2022/23 session. Tom has previously held the roles of Public Relations Officer, Senior Analyst and Junior Analyst in the Student Managed Fund. Last year, Tom interned at Development Capital as a Private Equity Analyst and has also worked with the World Economic Forum as a Global Shaper. Tom has held leadership positions in other societies including DCCS as Vice-President and ISCG as Director of Public Relations. Tom's interests outside of finance include politics, golf and reading.

Emma Harlick

Vice-Chairman

Emma is a third year Financial Mathematics student and is Vice-chair for the 2022/23 session. Emma has previously held the roles of Fund Manager, Senior Analyst and Junior Analyst in the Student Managed Fund. This coming year, Emma is interning at PWC. Emma's interests outside of finance include mathematics, cycling and swimming.

Kevin Haverty

Head of Trading

Kevin is a third year Financial Mathematics student and is Head of Trading for the 2022/23 session. Kevin has previously held the roles of Fund Manager, Senior Analyst and Junior Analyst in the Student Managed Fund. This coming year, Kevin is interning at Citibank as a Treasury and Trade Solutions Analyst. He has also worked with Knight Frank in their Capital Markets division. Kevin's interests outside of finance include tennis, golf and travelling.

Declan Cullen

Treasurer

Declan is a final year Business Studies (BBS) student and is Treasurer for the 2022/23 session. Declan has previously held the roles of Sponsorship Officer, Public Relations Officer and Senior Analyst in the Student Managed Fund. Last year, Declan interned at KKR as a Global Market Operations Analyst. Declan's interests outside of finance include travelling and music.

Robert Hernon

Head of Events

Robert is a third year Business Studies (BBS) student and is Head of Events for the 2022/23 session. Robert has previously held the roles of Head of Events (21/22), Senior Analyst and Fund Manager in the Student Managed Fund. This coming year, Robert is interning at PWC as a Deals Advisory Analyst. He has further experience interning at eBay. Robert's interests outside of finance include reading, rugby and gym.

Darragh Murray

Head of Membership Development

Darragh is a third year Business Studies (BBS) student and is Head of Membership Development for the 2022/23 session. Darragh has previously held the roles of Fund Manager and Junior Analyst in the Student Managed Fund. This coming year, Darragh is interning at Mazars as a Financial Advisory Analyst and has also worked with the Irish Student Entrepreneurship Forum as their Campus Ambassador. Darragh's interests outside of finance include travelling, fitness and music.

Christine Oprisan

Public Relations Officer

Christine is a final year Business Studies (BBS) student and is Public Relations Officer for the 2022/23 session. Christine has previously held the role of Junior Analyst in the Student Managed Fund. Last year, Christine studied at the University of Munster in Germany - reading Business w/ German. Christine's interests outside of finance include politics, music and travelling.

Aoibheann Moran

Head of Women in Business

Aoibheann is a final year Accounting and Finance student and is Head of Women in Business for the 2022/23 session. Aoibheann has previously held the roles of Senior Analyst and Junior Analyst in the Student Managed Fund. Last Summer, Aoibheann interned at PWC in their Deals Advisory department. Aoibheann has held leadership positions in other societies including DCCS as President and Speakeasy as Vice-President. Aoibheann's interests outside of finance include hiking, reading and travelling.
